VINTAGE ME UP

So you guys know that I love vintage pieces right? I'm not a hardcore fan but usually the things that catch my eye can tend to be mostly vintage.

So here's a vintage vest and Levis jeans that I got at a vintage store in Amsterdam called We Are Vintage suggested by a good friend of mine who also has a keen eye for vintage things.

When I buy something vintage, especially something owned by someone else before me, I always wonder who owned it before me and what was their story?

Don't you? I mean, what strikes me interesting is that whatever their lives were like or whoever they were, we had one thing in common; this piece of clothing, this item that was part of their and now part of mine. In my head, they could've been a Russian spy, a university professor who teaches literature, a struggling artist, a teacher, or politics major student. Who knows, right? Well I doubt a Russian spy would wear this vest but who knows maybe they were undercover or had excellent taste in fashion outside of working hours.

One of life's many mysteries I guess.
